Position Summary Support Operations group and insure that contract obligations and lease agreements are complied with regarding the scheduling of Meter Test, calibration verification of the Secondary Element, inspection of the Primary Element, and Natural Gas Sampling in accordance with ConocoPhillips Measurement Policies and Procedures. Responsibilities may include: Scheduling and maintaining various types of measurement equipment as it pertains to the petroleum industry Maintenance and repair of measurement station, and associated equipment. This will include and not limited to EFM (Electronic Flow Meters), meter tubes, composite samplers, radio communications, PD meters, Coriolis meters, and auxiliary pressure transmitters Assignments will be in the Bakken, Delaware Basin, Eagle Ford and Niobrara Asset sites, located in Carlsbad, NM, Denver, CO, Dickinson or Watford City, ND and Kenedy, TX. Typical lengths of our internships vary from 10 to 14 weeks based on the project and your availability. Bakken Asset Overview The Bakken is a large unconventional resource play located in the Williston Basin of Montana and North Dakota. The Bakken play is a high profile, key growth driver for the corporation that has proven value through successful drilling over the last several years. Over the next 10 years the company has plans to exploit the 626 M acre leased and mineral position by investing $6B in development capital and peaking at 45 Mboepd of net production. Delaware Basin Asset Overview ConocoPhillips’ Delaware Basin asset in the Mid-Continent Business Unit consists of 73K net acres (45K net acres core operated) in West Texas and Southeastern New Mexico with a resource base of approximately 2.4 BBOE. The asset is currently producing over 20 MBOEPD with production forecast to exceed 100 MBOEPD in 2020 and peak in excess of 200 MBOEPD around 2030. There is an ongoing drilling campaign targeting the Bone Springs and Wolfcamp formations in both Texas and New Mexico across a mixture of state and federal acreage. Eagle Ford Asset Overview The liquids-rich Eagle Ford tight oil trend, located in the Western Gulf Basin of South Texas, represents the company’s most prolific unconventional development. At year-end 2017, the Eagle Ford held approximately 210,000 net leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in the DeWitt, Karnes, and Live Oak counties. Net production in 2017 averaged 133 MBOED, with approximately 80 percent of production from liquids. Niobrara Asset Overview The Niobrara shale formation is an established oil-producing reservoir in the southern Denver-Julesberg Basin. The company holds approximately 100,000 net acres in the Niobrara play, where development activities continue with a concentrated effort on unconventional tight oil. The company continues to pursue operational efficiency and optimization of development activity through the deployment of multi-well drilling pads, facility design enhancements, improved completions and innovative technology. Qualifications: Basic/Required: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee or temporary resident under 8 U.S.C. 1160(a) or 1255(a) (1) and will not need sponsorship now or in the future Pursuing an Associate’s degree or Trade Certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics Technology and/or Electrical Expected graduation date: Fall 2018 through Spring/Fall 2019 A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship Pass and complete our respiratory program Willing and able to work under a supplied air system Preferred: A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Previous internships or co-ops in an energy related field Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Working knowledge of AGA – 3 1985 &1992 Standards, API 14.3, and GPA 2166-86.
