Reporting to the Supervisor, APME Analytics the primary function of this role is to monitor and maintain the production Teradata database environment, including runtime optimization, capacity management and planning, security, configuration, scheduling, and execution of maintenance and load utilities. Key Responsibilities Physical database design and tuning Workload management Security administration Capacity planning Measurement of DBMS performance and tuning; diagnosis of problems Modification of system-level configuration to optimize performance Interface with SQL developers for performance and data access requirements Development of standards and procedures for the DBMS environment Maintenance of physical integrity of all databases Monitor hardware and software errors and system restarts Administration of back-up and restore processes Release management of databases data structures Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: Required 3 years of experience as Teradata Operational DBA Previous experience working for a large corporation Proficient in all Teradata database administration tools (TASM, TAPS, PDCR, DataMover, AtanaSuite, Teradata QL Assistant, Teradata Studio, Viewpoint, etc) Experience with QueryGrid Degree qualified ideally in computer science Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability Preferred Programming skills Exposure to cloud technologies Direct experience in the Oil and Gas industry To be considered for this position you must complete the entire application process, which includes answering all prescreening questions and providing your eSignature on or before the requisition closing date of November 13, 2018.
