Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Planning (F&P), Supply Trading and Optimization (ST&O) Projects, Finance, you will support the design and implementation of a new internal performance reporting framework for Suncor’s midstream assets. You will be working with individuals from the ST&O business unit and various finance and planning teams to implement required changes.
Prepare materials for senior leadership including gate keeper and steering committee members
Develop transfer pricing methodology for certain refined products
Develop and implement processes for reporting of key performance indicators related to refined products supply and trading activities
Develop pro-forma segment reporting to support design recommendations
Provide guidance around process changes within STO to support the design of the Midstream Operating Segment
Promote, educate and support change as it relates to the project with other finance and planning teams and key business unit stakeholders
Identify required data requirements and collaborate with IT work stream
Work with all ST&O functions to ensure robustness of the process, including front office, middle office and back office requirements
Experience and Education
5-10 years’ experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably with downstream experience
Professional financial designation (CFA, CPA or ERP) or MBA preferred
Undergraduate degree in business or economics
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact and provide expert advice to director level audience
Knowledge of refined products pricing and markets
Must be computer literate with proficiency in SAP (ECC, BW), Excel and MS Office.
Knowledge of a commodity/energy trading & risk management system considered a valuable asset
You are naturally curious and are able to ask the right questions that will help shape strategy
You are a self-starter and work well in a dynamic environment
You constantly ask what could go wrong and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions and learn to anticipate potential problems
You hold others accountable, and expect others to do the same
