Job Overview Co-op positions at Suncor are more than just a work term. In this position, you will report to the manager and you will contribute to and help coordinate various sustainability disclosures and gain valuable insight into economic, environmental, social and governance practices and performance. Key Accountabilities Assist in various duties related to sustainability outreach, disclosure and strategic issues management, as required Support the completion of various ESG disclosures and sustainability reporting requirements Assist in the quality control of all economic, social and environmental sustainability information disclosed by Suncor Participate in the gathering and reviewing of corporate-wide sustainability data Assist in tasks related to the release of Suncor's Report on Sustainability Perform benchmarking analysis on emerging sustainability trends and implementation strategies Required Qualifications Experience and Education: Previous experience with sustainability projects or related work experience would be considered an asset Currently enrolled in a formal co-op program in a sustainable development, environmental science, commerce, business or engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term Successful completion of sustainability or environmental courses are an asset Attach your transcripts with your application and clearly indicate the length of work term for which you are available Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite Proven communication, administration and organization skills and capable of handling several tasks concurrently and in different environments Strong collaboration skills: you collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the best outcome Continually seek knowledge and understanding: you strive to understand the systems, processes and hazards in and around the workplace Working Conditions This is a 8-12 month work term, from January 2019 – December 2019 This position is based at our Calgary office at the Suncor Energy Centre Why Suncor Start your career at one of Canada's leading companies.
