We have an opportunity for you to lead our on-line strategy development and execution for the Suncor family of external websites. Working closely with the Director of e-Communications, this is a key influencing position that provides strategic counsel on how business and communication objectives can be achieved on-line, which provides the input to creating and prioritizing an annual improvement and development plan. You will use your expertise to:Develop effective, integrated web strategies and a business case for Suncor branded websites and understand how to the use platforms to deliver web and business strategic goals Lead client engagement and consultation for all internal groups, and manage small development projects to large scale platform redevelopment (such as a site redesign); lead project management where required Lead end–to-end management of integrated web projects and coordinate supporting functions (analytics, content, user experience, technical, third party agencies) Develop and improve workflow processes and participate in the development of an overall web governance framework for Suncor online properties while being a champion for operational excellence within the team Deliver web business cases and make recommendations to shift the strategy and improve functionality based on analysis of metrics while ensuring strict adherence to governance standards Work with business partners to understand strategic priorities and develop appropriate web content and features Research emerging web development practices and technology, as well as long-range planning and evaluation of new systems and methodologies We’d like to review your application if you have… Must-haves (minimum requirements):A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business or Communications) with a deep understanding of web communication principles and practices 10 years of communication or web experience (a digital focus is an asset) with five years of experience managing websites Experience in defining web strategy with the ability to translate business/communications objectives into measurable on-line strategy and tactic; you are able to develop and execute web strategy to meet business needs Experience with establishing and reporting metrics to evolve and improve the effectiveness of on-line communication and knowledge of current web technology and on-line communication trends/best practices Demonstrated experience in managing internet development and clients, and liaising with IT technical resources Excellent communication and project-management skills with “hands on” web management experience, and you effectively collaborate with and work well with all level of employees and partners Excellent prioritization skills and you can flawlessly execute on projects in a dynamic, often pressured environment Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing Preference for:Experience managing websites in a large, geographically dispersed, complex organization Working knowledge of a content management system (Sitecore experience an asset) Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
