You will also perform the development of the technology alternatives, facilitating and driving alignment.
You will use your expertise to:Support opportunity identification and development of digital technology initiatives which are focused on operational control of work activities that aim at improving safety, productivity, data capture and visibility of information in the operating environment
Establish and manage relationships with key business and technology partners (internal and external)
Perform customer research to gain insight into the voice of the business and analyze the possible alternatives and the capabilities and qualities that would be most beneficial to the business
Facilitate and drive alignment among key partners through communication with business and functional areas
Drive the implementation of the digital technology across different operating areas
Monitor the progress of the use of technology through close communication and collaboration with the business
Complete development work deliverables throughout all project stages in accordance with Suncor execution models
Effectively translate technical language into business language to bridge the gap between business and technical partners

Must-haves (minimum requirements):Plant Operations experience such as being a shift supervisor, coordinator, area manager, etc.
A trade background, technical discipline, and/or extensive experience in industrial operations
Influential capabilities to engage and influence personnel at multiple levels of an organization, from business area and functional leads (VP/GM/Director level) to front line workers
Collaboration, social and coordination skills that allow you to articulate to a diverse work environment how digital technology advancements will deliver value for Suncor
Alignment with our values of: safety above all else, respect, raise the bar, commitments matter and do the right thing
Preference for:Maintenance or Engineering experience
A strong development mindset with demonstrable project development experience
Experience and familiarity with design thinking process, lean and agile software delivery
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other meaningful information:You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
Some travel may be required on an infrequent basis to our Suncor operating sites
